South City Grill Mountain
Lakes has just received a complete transformation with
natural woods and soft candlelight that is contemporary
yet inviting. Relax after dinner in our new piano lounge
featuring live music Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
Our Mountain Lakes location makes a dramatic statement
on Route 46 East. The sophisticated building of sunny
yellow stucco, punctuated with sculptural stainless
steel elements evoking fish, gives arriving guests a
clue that what happens inside will be as carefully conceived,
perfectly executed and lighthearted. Opened in July
of 2000, South City Grill Mountain Lakes is larger than
the original, Rochelle Park location, allowing greater
flexibility of space for private parties. But although
the signature design of the restaurant incorporates
contemporary elements, the addition of creamy fabrics
and polished wood ensure that the mood is warmly welcoming.
Adjacent to the large bar area, dramatic brushed steel
and crackled blue glass folding doors can divide the
main dining room, while directly across from the bar,
a view of the open kitchen adds to the feeling of excitement.
At the far side of the dining room, a raised seating
area including twenty-four seat marble table with booths
at either end provides the perfect “stage”
for a special celebration. And in the Rosina Room, the
rich, dark wood walls and subdued lighting envelope
private parties from 20 to 40 in an atmosphere of luxury.
